teacher assisting

Currently, I serve as a teaching assistant for Professor Jeff Fellenzer’s JOUR 380 Sports Business class at USC. In this role, I evaluate and grade assignments, essays, and exams, providing students with detailed, constructive feedback to support their learning. I also monitor and record class attendance, participation, and extra credit assignments to ensure accurate tracking. Beyond administrative responsibilities, I actively facilitate classroom discussions, helping to engage students in meaningful conversations about the evolving landscape of sports business. Additionally, I provide one-on-one support to students seeking guidance on coursework or career development.

Each class begins with a discussion of current sports business news, followed by a guest speaker—often a sports industry professional with a connection to Professor Fellenzer or a former JOUR 380 student who has built a successful career in the field. I always look forward to our Wednesday night sessions because the students are genuinely passionate about the subject matter, leading to insightful and engaging discussions. This is my second semester working as his TA, and while the lesson plans remain the same, the unique perspectives and enthusiasm of each new class keep the experience fresh and rewarding.
